Message From National Marine Manufactures Associate

Dear YBAA members,

Freya OlsonIt was a pleasure to speak to the YBAA members at the 2108 YBAA U in both Providence and Annapolis. I wanted to pull together a few resources which can be shared to help YBAA’s members to take advantage of all the resources we make available to the industry. As a reminder, one of the easiest ways to remember the difference between the industry resources and the consumer resources is that the industry is trying to ‘Grow Boating’, while consumers are trying to ‘Discover Boating’. I have attached the presentation I gave and will link to all the videos in the presentation below, along with some tools that I think will be useful for your members to use. 

  • Get Social with Discover Boating
    Use Discover Boating’s high-performing Facebook content as your very own, in order to better engage your current followers and influence potential followers on a local level. Since consumers use Facebook to learn more about your business, having fresh, relevant and informative content that is automated to your Facebook page – is a great way to engage with them.   • Welcome to the Water Videos
    Download or embed the 2018 Discover Boating campaign videos on your site and even tag your business (logo and voiceover) at the end of our videos. Utilizing high-quality production videos to use in your own marketing efforts, is a great way to capitalize on Grow Boating’s free resources. To tag your business in one of our videos, please fill out this form here. Also, to use any of the Discover Boating videos (A Good Run, Stories of Discovery ect) please go HERE to view, download or embed our assets.
  • Your Brain on a Boat
    Recent research has confirmed what many boaters already know – you experience emotional, behavioral and psychological benefits being near, in, on or under water, and while participating in activities like boating. One of the leading researchers on the health benefits of the water is Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, marine biologist and author of Blue Mind, the bestselling book on the scientific connection between water and happiness. Working with Discover Boating, Dr. Nichols has begun to explore the wellness benefits associated with boating. 
  • Promotional Materials
    Order free promotional materials to give away to consumers at boat shows, local events or even in your place of business. 
  • Research & Education
    This entire section promotes all that we have going on from research studies, digital marketing webinars, understanding first-time boat buyers and many other pieces of information that are designed to help your members better understand today’s consumers and all the ways they can connect with them.
